Knowledge Repository Curation Workgroup (KR)

The Surveillance Knowledge Repository ( is a huge resource with hundreds of surveillance-related resources populated by community members. This invaluable resource provides a single location to search abstracts, webinars, trainings, and syndrome definitions all developed, designed, and published by public health practitioners. Currently, the repository is being curated by ISDS and members of the KR Curation Team; however, with the scope of the KR expanding, we need to expand the curation team to properly review a broader range of surveillance topics.

We are specifically looking for reviewers in the following areas:

  • One Health
  • Environmental Health
  • Antibiotic Resistance
  • Data Analytics
  • Syndrome Definitions
  • Technical Trainings: R, ESSENCE, BioSense
  • Health Standards
  • Meaningful Use
  • Electronic Health Records
  • Emergency Preparedness

Participating in the team includes joining a 1 hour monthly call and assisting ISDS with the curation of the repository by reviewing existing resources, uploading new as they become available, and helping to add historical resources. ISDS estimates the total monthly time commitment to be around 2-3 hours a month. Visit the group's home page for past meeting recordings
